Meditation Meditation for ADHD/ADD

I will be leading my “Meditation Meditation for ADHD/ADD” at the end of June. It will be on Zoom and cost is by donation. My request is that participants intend to be there for the entire course. Description: meditation and mindfulness are perfect natural tools to find grounding, self-soothing, and clarity when facing the agitation, low motivation, and distraction of ADHD/ADD. If you face these challenges or would like to learn some skills to share with those who do, please feel free to come to this two-day course to learn some paradigms and practice some skills that can help.

Some of what will be covered will be:

• How meditation can help cultivate a mind that is more focused, concentrated, stable, and collected

• How meditation can help turn agitation, anxiety, restlessness, and impatience into ease, calm, steadiness, and self-soothing

• The freedom of being aware of a wild, scattered, tangled, busy mind as it is, without trying to discipline it, to create spaciousness, ease, and clarity

• How meditation can help to cultivate self-friendliness and self-compassion

• Taking breaks during the day to be mindful and recharge one’s mental batteries

• How mindfulness can help to stay aware and snap out of hyperfocus

• How mindfulness can help make all experiences more rich, interesting, and fulfilling

• The value of mindfully doing one thing at a time, and how that leads to greater productivity

• How mindful interpersonal presence practice can create more comfort and openness around others

• Finding value in meditation practice between challenging

• General ADHD life skills

The information in the classes will be useful also to people without ADHD who would like to understand people with ADHD in their life, as well as all people wanting to deepen their understanding and practice of meditation.
