Failing to agree, they decided to determine what humans were like by direct experience.<\/p>\n<p>The first wise blind elephant felt the human, and declared, &#8220;Humans are flat.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The other wise blind elephants, after similarly feeling the human, agreed.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>*************************************************************************************************<\/p>\n<p>One day a young Buddhist on pilgrimage came to the banks of a wide river. Staring hopelessly at the great obstacle in front of him, he pondered for hours on just how to cross such a wide barrier.<\/p>\n<p>Just as he was about to give up his pursuit to continue his journey, he saw a great master on the other side of the river. The young Buddhist yelled over to the teacher, &#8220;Oh Wise One, can you please tell me how to get to the other side?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The teacher pondered deeply for a moment, looked up and down the river, and yelled back &#8220;My son, you <em>are<\/em> on the other side&#8221;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Five wise blind elephants were discussing what humans were like.
